Providing Care and Support in the Community

Vibro recognises that as a responsible business, it has a role to play in the communities within which it works. We actively serve people in need in our society through diversified community activities. The Hip Hing-Vibro Volunteer Team, established in 2001, mainly supports and cares for elderly singletons and children of underprivileged families. We encourage not only our staff but also their family members, retirees and subcontractors to participate in volunteer work. We also sponsor local charity events and community activities to promote wellbeing and a caring culture in the community.

Commitment for Ageing in Place

To advocate the Government’s efforts on “Ageing in Place”, Hip Hing-Vibro Volunteer Team has joined forces with the Tung Wah Group of Hospitals since 2012, providing elderly people with focused assistance to improve their living environment and self-care ability. The Volunteer Team has leveraged its resources and expertise to provide household repair and maintenance, Grade A electrical workers and painters from both Hip Hing and its subcontractors play a part too. In addition, the Volunteer Team has organised diversified activities for the seniors to enrich their social lives.

Cantonese Opera Show

Since 2008, Hip Hing-Vibro Volunteer Team has partnered with the Hong Kong Young Women's Christian Association (YWCA) to host the annual Cantonese Opera Show. This cross-district cultural event is a continuous effort to promote local cultural heritage. It also encourages elderly people to engage and connect with peers in their own and in other communities. The show is attended by over 700 elderly citizens each year, who are mainly from the YWCA elderly day care centers in Sai Wan Ho, Sai Wan, Sham Shui Po, Tsing Yi and Sha Tau Kok.

Empowering the children

Sharing the vision to empower underprivileged children, Hip Hing-Vibro Volunteer Team and the Hans Andersen Club have been working hand-in-hand over the past eight years. The partnership has featured a wide range of activities underscoring three themes, including environmental education, social culture as well as creativity and innovation. Children are inspired to explore through experiential learning, which helps them build up self-confidence and develop positive values.
